The Inspectorate is a core service department of the Financial Services Board (FSB) with the mission of;
-
supporting, supplementing and complementing actions by the FSB and other regulatory authorities to attain high standards of supervision;

providing Registrars of Financial Institutions with objective, timeous, fitting and functional high quality inspection reports;
-
rendering professional advice and assistance to other departments of the FSB;

assisting prosecuting authorities to effectively and timeously institute prosecutions in instances where necessary;
In a cost effective manner in order to serve the public interest in relation to the financial services industry supervised by the FSB in terms of various Acts, to the advantage
of the industry within the framework of the philosophy, policy and mission set by the Board of the FSB.
